The Independent Review into the Future Security of the National Electricity Market recommended that the COAG Energy Council develop and maintain a Strategic Energy Plan for the National Electricity Market.
In 2016 the former COAG Energy Council agreed the National Collaborative Approach to Residential Building Ratings and Disclosure – Principles. These principles have been established to guide the consistent development and collaboration of state and territory based residential building ratings and disclosure schemes.
In September 2020, the Energy Security Board released a consultation paper that outlined reform options under consideration as part of the Post-2025 market design project.
