Electric vehicles

An electric vehicle (EV) uses chemical energy stored in rechargeable battery pack to power at least one electric motor.

Battery EVs have zero tailpipe emissions. When using renewable energy to charge the EV, the energy is free or low cost, and the greenhouse gas emissions can be eliminated.

Some EVs like battery EVs need far less maintenance than conventional vehicles.
