On 15 September 2016, the department released a consultation paper on Mandatory Reporting of Petroleum Statistics. The consultation paper included questions relevant to data users, existing reporters, potential reporters and other businesses active in the petroleum market. The consultation paper response period closed on 28 October 2016.
