Hunter Joint Organisation, with support from local councils, have partnered with ZapCat to help Hunter residents access free independent advice to help them electrify their homes.
ZapCat provides instant online estimates for costs, savings, and available rebates to switch to clean electric appliances such as:
- solar and batteries
- hot water heat pumps
- EV charging
- induction cooking
- reverse cycle air conditioning.
The program also offers practical tips on reducing energy bills through:
- insulation and draught proofing
- energy efficiency (including for renters).
The program is available to reisdents in:
- Cessnock
- Lake Macquarie
- Maitland
- Muswellbrook
- Singleton
- Upper Hunter
