Lighting efficiency webtool

Program name:
Lighting Efficiency webtool

The ACT Government Lighting Efficiency webtool helps Australian Capital Territory businesses assess the efficiency of their lighting and suggest possible upgrades.

Electricity reductions are based on the difference between wattage of the new fitting and the old fitting. Annual electricity savings are determined by multiplying kilowatt-hour (kWh) savings by the electricity cost.

The tool generates a downloadable report outlining potential savings, expenses and suggested products including:

  • the types of lights that are suitable to replace the existing ones
(advises like for-like lighting replacement only)
  • approximate upgrade costs
  • estimated electricity savings
  • an estimate of how long it will take for your upgrades to pay for themselves

Key eligibility

Available to businesses located in the Australian Capital Territory.

Your business may also be eligible for the Big Business Light Switch program.
