Record energy exports

The March 2020 Resources and Energy Quarterly (REQ) has been released.

This REQ provides a 5 year forecast for Australia's resources and energy exports, which are projected to reach a record $299 billion in 2019-20. This follows records set in the previous 3 years, as the fruits of the mining investment boom come to bear.

There are a number of factors currently affecting Australia’s resource and energy commodities. COVID-19, supply problems, trade tensions and energy transitions are impacting the world we produce for, and export to.

The edition includes the latest outlook for global resource and energy commodity prices, demand and supply.
