Positive Energy on emissions reduction

Positive Energy highlights the many ways the Australian Government is reducing emissions and creating new industries and jobs across the country.

The Australian Government is investing $20 billion in renewable energy, next-generation energy technologies and emissions reduction projects between now and 2030.

Plans include:

  • Clean hydrogen. When used as a fuel, hydrogen’s only by-product is water. It produces zero carbon emissions.
  • Seaweed for livestock. A feed supplement that reduces methane by more than 80%
  • More rooftop solar. Australia is a world leader in solar silicon cell technology.

The new Positive Energy website features detailed information on the many innovations and projects planned or already underway.
