Trajectory for Low Energy Buildings Update Statement and release of DRAFT National Disclosure Framework

Publication date

Energy Ministers acknowledge the progress being made to deliver the Trajectory for Low Energy Buildings and its Addendum.

Since it was agreed in 2019, work has been progressing well on many work streams outlined in the Trajectory. In September 2021, the new Your Home information guide was released, and also new energy ratings for the residential aged care and retirement living sectors under the National Australian Built Environment Rating System (NABERS) were released.

Today the DRAFT National Framework for Disclosure of Residential Energy Efficiency Information, another initiative under the Trajectory, was agreed to be released for public consultation in early 2022. The draft has been developed through engagement with industry and other key stakeholders.

Although the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on industry and stakeholders have led to extended delivery timeframes for a number of work streams in the Trajectory, these work streams will be pursued to deliver the best outcomes for Australian households and businesses.
