First Nations Clean Energy Strategy
The Australian Government has committed $5.5 million to develop the First Nations Clean Energy Strategy. The strategy is a key priority under the Commonwealth's National Energy Transformation Partnership.
It will ensure First Nations people have a say in energy policies and programs in the transition to net-zero. The strategy will also help identify priority reforms and areas for future investment.
The Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water, the National Indigenous Australians Agency and the First Nations Clean Energy Network will be leading this work.
The strategy will be co-designed with First Nations communities and organisations.
An Expert Reference Panel will assist the development of the strategy.
To have your say in the development of the strategy and learn more about upcoming events, go to the First Nations Clean Energy Strategy website.
