Transmission Working Group
The Transmission Working Group (TWG) is made up of key energy policy representatives from each jurisdiction. Generally, representatives from the energy market bodies also attend and contribute to discussions.
The TWG’s purpose is to support timely and open communication between government agencies responsible for electricity transmission policy across jurisdictions and to collaborate to progress key reforms and policies, including as part of the vision and principles of the National Energy Transformation Partnership (NETP).
The key objective of the TWG is to facilitate cross-jurisdictional cooperation to identify opportunities to accelerate delivery of priority transmission projects, and progress associated regulatory reforms, so they are fit-for-purpose and streamlined.
The TWG supports the Energy and Climate Ministerial Council, including delivering on its agenda as it relates to transmission.
