Hydrogen Working Group

The Hydrogen Working Group (HWG) coordinates the Australian Government and state and territory governments' support of the growth of the hydrogen sector in Australia. It has a focus on emerging hydrogen market issues and opportunities and suggests areas for future national policy investigation and review.

The HWG aims to provide strategic oversight of projects related to the priorities of the National Hydrogen Strategy (NHS) that involve collaboration and cooperation between the jurisdictions.

The HWG has 4 sub-working groups progressing work on specific areas of focus:

  • Legal Frameworks Review Working Group
  • Skills and Training Sub-working Group
  • Communications and Engagement Sub-working Group
  • NHS Refresh Sub-working Group
